Job Duties

  • Demonstrate IWCC’s core mission, vision and values
  • Perform a wide range of non-technical maintenance
  • Maintain grounds and grounds equipment
  • Able to do tasks as assigned in an efficient and timely manner with little supervision
  • May perform general maintenance tasks
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
  • Maintains building electrical facilities and systems, such as bulbs, fixtures, switches, photocells, and outlets
  • Assists licensed electricians as appropriate
  • Maintains plumbing systems, to include standard repair of leaking fixtures, cleaning obstructed waste lines, and/or performing non-technical modifications to plumbing and water supply systems
  • Assists licensed plumbers, as appropriate
  • Performs carpentry maintenance tasks including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window replacement, cabinet and countertop replacement, painting and texturing, and door and hardware installation
  • Paints interior and exterior finishes, as appropriate
  • Performs snow removal, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
  • Ability to present information both verbally and in writing in a professional manner
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out
  • Wear/use PPE at all times
  • Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment
  • Work in a cooperative manner with management, co-workers, internal/external customers and vendors
  • Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S Driver’s License and a good driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screen & pre-employment physical if applicable

Physical Demands

  • The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
