Full Time Food Service Worker
About the role
The Service Associate for Dining Services supports the daily operations of the assigned food service department. This role involves serving and supporting a team of staff members, ensuring the efficient production and delivery of food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Serve and support a team of staff members
- Ensure efficient production and delivery of food
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff, administrative staff, and other supervisors as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a related field
- Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
Benefits
The position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime. The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
Pay
Pay Band 1
Salary range: $33,800 - $38,480/year based on position
