About the Role
Provide direct patient care in an emergency department setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. This safety-sensitive role involves working in a fast-paced emergency environment, with a focus on delivering compassionate, high-quality care, promoting professional development, and adhering to standards of nursing practice.
Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate patient conditions and communicate care plans effectively across the care continuum.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
- Preferred: ER experience and BSN degree.
- Skills: Critical assessment, patient education, communication, teamwork, attention to safety.
