Full-Time Emergency Department Manager

About the role

We seek an experienced nursing leader to manage the Pediatric Emergency Department in a new community hospital. The role involves overseeing approximately 55 FTEs in a state-of-the-art facility with 24 beds, including safety and treatment rooms. The manager will lead clinical operations, ensuring high-quality, family-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Leadership: Maintain 24/7 accountability for patient care, support staff, develop department policies, and ensure adherence to standards and regulations.
• Staff Development: Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, and professional growth initiatives. Foster staff engagement and satisfaction while addressing performance and safety issues.
• Financial Oversight: Collaborate on budget development, monitor expenses, and optimize resource utilization to meet fiscal goals.
• Strategic Management: Establish department goals aligned with organizational priorities, support program development, and participate in committees to promote quality improvement and research initiatives.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other disciplines to ensure coordinated, high-quality care delivery.
