Full-Time Director of Nursing

About the Role

The Director of Emergency Services oversees operations across two emergency departments, managing a team of approximately 55–60 FTEs to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour leadership, direction, and evaluation of departments aligned with organizational standards.
• Foster collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to deliver efficient emergency care.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, quality initiatives, staffing, and customer service goals.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Oversee staff orientation, training, policy development, and budget management, including revenue enhancement and cost containment activities.
• Engage in community outreach, marketing, and promoting departmental visibility.
• Lead quality improvement efforts and staff development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (or enrolled in an accredited BSN program).
• Current RN license.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience, with 3+ years in management roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree.
• Emergency department experience.
• Clinical or administrative certification.
