Full-Time Dialysis Nurse Supervisor

About the role

RN Charge Nurse oversees nursing services each shift, functioning as a nursing supervisor and providing daily staff supervision during operational hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical and operational processes to enhance patient health and reduce hospitalizations
• Efficiently utilize supplies and staff labor hours
• Review and document patient medication profiles, administer medications
• Assist physicians during rounds, transcribe orders, and implement protocols
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations
• Perform safe dialysis and respond to emergencies
• Communicate patient assessments to the care team
• Maintain collaborative relationships with physicians
• Participate in care planning and staff orientation
• Act as a resource in dialysis service evaluation
• Assist with staff hiring, evaluation, and disciplinary actions

Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable state
• At least 12 months of nursing experience, including 3 months in dialysis care
• CPR certification
• Ability to distinguish primary colors
• Leadership skills and sound judgment
• Proficiency in English and basic computer skills
• Meet state practice requirements
