Full Time Deli Associate/Cook

Join our team at The Market at Preston as a Deli Associate/Cook in a full-time role working 30+ hours per week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with customers to keep them coming back.
• Perform various cleaning duties inside and outside the facilities.
• Food prep: Wash, cut, and mix food items before cooking.
• Cooking: Steam, grill, boil, bake, or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, equipment, and tools.
• Check food stock, help order fresh items, and verify freshness of ingredients.
• Work well under pressure and within time limits.
• Assist customers with propane refills.

Qualifications & Skills

• Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as an upbeat team member.
• Basic math skills.
• Physically able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Stamina to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Past work in a busy kitchen preferred.
• Ability to work well with other kitchen staff during busy hours.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Pay

$14–$16.50 hourly wage.
