Full Time Cook

About the role

The Market at Bellair is looking for an outstanding person to join our team as a full-time Early Morning Cook. We are looking for a full-time team member working 30+ hours per week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with customers, keeping them coming back again and again
• Perform various cleaning duties inside and outside the facilities to maintain a sparkling store
• Food prep: Wash, cut, and mix food items before cooking
• Cooking: Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
• Cleanliness: Ensure kitchen area, equipment and tools are cleaned
• Inventory: Check food stock and help order fresh items
• Check food and ingredients for freshness
• Work well under pressure and within the time limit

Qualifications

• Positive attitude
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work independently at times and as an upbeat team member
• Ability to be on feet much of the day; physically able to do the job
• Past work in a busy kitchen
• Stamina: Stand and walk for long periods of time
• Teamwork: Work well with other kitchen staff during busy hours

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Basic math skills
• Sincere and positive attitude
• Background check and drug testing, required
• Able and willing to assist customers with propane refills
