FULL TIME CNC MACHINIST & PROGRAMMER

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Setup, operate, edit and program CNC equipment
  • Perform jobs with verbal instruction
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Inspect parts to print
  • Determine the most cost effective tool usage and procedures for the job while maintaining quality and safety requirements
  • Determine machining/finishing operations, tooling and fixture requirements, operation sequence, procedures, quality and tolerance targets
  • Determine cutting speeds, feed rates, depth of cuts and cutting tools/holders to be used based on the knowledge of metal properties, shop mathematics, charts and tables
  • Determine tool life and machine adjustment requirements
  • Understand, generate and maintain job process documentation
  • Design and document fixtures and tooling
  • Use proper coolant testing and mixing procedures
  • Excellent math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters
  • Mechanical knowledge of tooling selection, geometry considerations for cutting tools, and the use of precision measuring instruments
  • Instruct operators on the procedures required to perform the job
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures throughout all machining processes

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in CNC Machining and Programming
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems
  • Experience with quality control and inspection

$50,000 - $60,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
