Description The Quinnipiac University School of Nursing's mission is to develop exceptional, practice-ready nurses as leaders in science-based, holistic care through innovation and inclusive education. We are particularly interested in doctorally-prepared candidates with practice, teaching, and leadership experiences in a graduate PMHNP program. Although the program is online (with in-person immersions), regular presence is expected on the campus in North Haven. The Program Director is afforded one day a week as a practice day. Responsibilities Teaching intensive, clinical track nursing faculty position, with primary responsibility for educating graduate nursing students in the online PMHNP MSN programCollaborate with colleagues to ensure high quality programs that demonstrate academic excellence and successEnsure program compliance with accreditation standardsOversee daily management of the PMHNP MSN programDevelop, maintain, and evaluate quality clinical experiences for studentParticipate in student recruitment, admissions review, enrollment management, and retention initiatives to support program growth and sustainabilityDesign and implement learning experiences that reflect competency-based education principlesParticipate in competency-based curriculum development, assessment, and continuous quality improvement aligned with the AACN 2021 EssentialsAdvise and mentor students to support academic success and professional growthContribute to School and University service, including committee participation and professional engagement within the communityEngage in scholarly activities and maintain currency in nursing practice and educationParticipate in faculty developmentEngage in the School of Nursing’s strategic planActively participate in the School of Nursing community Education Requirements Required doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) in nursing or related field Qualifications Required unencumbered APRN license in ConnecticutRequired national certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse PractitionerRecent clinical practice experience as a PMHNPExperience with competency-based education and curriculum developmentEvidence of effective teachingPreferred experience leading or coordinating an advanced practice nursing education program, including curriculum oversight, program evaluation, accreditation activities, and faculty collaborationService to profession or communityCommitment to contribute to the excellence of the academic community Posted On 9/10/2026 Job Type Faculty/Instructor Faculty School/Institution Quinnipiac University School of Nursing Job Location North Haven, CT
