Full time Class B CDL Delivery Driver

About the role

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Appleton, WI. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat & Tanker endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, moving, and storage of gas and liquid cylinders, CO2 and cryogenic liquids, and other hard good supplies
• Making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately
• Moving, loading, and unloading empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering CO2 and cryogenic liquids in transport tankers and/or cryogenic vessels
• Reading, understanding, and following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Complying with all DOT and OSHA Regulations
• Ensuring appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork, including shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Ensuring vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled
• Maintaining electronic trip-logs
• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL Required with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment, and company-administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers
