Full-Time City Driver

Position Overview: This role involves picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring safe transportation. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable.Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.Hook/unhook trailers and handle freight using motorized/manual tools like forklifts and pallet jacks.Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and ropes, and repair damaged freight when necessary.Verify documentation, comply with hazardous material regulations, and collect freight charges.Communicate with dispatch, customers, and sales teams to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and identify additional business opportunities.May perform tire chaining, or duties of road drivers or dock employees as needed. Qualifications & Skills Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements (automatic transmission allowed).At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and follow instructions.Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Work Conditions: Driving in various weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials, with variable hours based on operational needs.
