Full Time CDL Driver - Passenger Endorsement

About the role

Provides students with timely and efficient student transportation services as required. May be assigned to assist in other departments as needed. This is an individual contributor role and does not have any direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate vehicle documentation per DOL/Company requirements.
• Schedules and delivers vehicles for preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary.
• Conducts vehicle inspections and reports safety issues and concerns to supervisor.
• Maintains the care, cleanliness, and upkeep of the Center’s vehicles.
• Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
• Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.
• Ensures that only authorized students are transported on and off Center.
• Keeps accurate log of students transported off of and returned to Center.
• Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
• Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
• Attends all required staff training opportunities.
• Occasionally supports work in other regions.
• Domestic and international travel of approximately 20–30% may be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Experience working with youth.
• CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Extensive standing, sitting, and continuous computer, phone, and desk work required.
• Work will be primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours.
• Must be available for occasional out-of-office meetings, conferences, training, and other events as needed.
• Will require one-on-one and group interaction with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds.
