Full Time CDL Class B Delivery Driver

About the role

American Welding and Gas, Inc. (AWG) is a manufacturer and distributor of industrial, medical, specialty, and food & beverage gases, as well as a provider of welding supplies. This position is based in Rock Hill, SC.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and store gas and liquid cylinders and other hard goods supplies.
• Make deliveries to customers or other branches and complete delivery tickets accurately.
• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Safely move, load, and unload empty/full cylinders.
• Ensure proper preparation, completion, and accuracy of paperwork, including shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Class B CDL with HazMat and Air Brake endorsements (or ability to obtain both).
• Clean driving record.
• Able to read and write English.
• Ability to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; frequently lift 50-75 pounds and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment, and company-administered road test.
• Ability to communicate with customers.
