Full-Time caregiver needed for high energy child
About the role
Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a fun, compassionate, and dependable caregiver to support a young man with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in his home. He enjoys puzzles, crafts, painting, coloring, and neighborhood walks. The caregiver will assist with school assignments, prepare basic meals (prepped by his parent), remind him to chew slowly, and help with all activities of daily living (ADLs). The individual communicates using sign language and a device, and thrives with high-energy interaction. This role is offered on an independent contractor basis.
Responsibilities
- Encourage and support the individual during home activities
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks
- Prepare meals and perform light cleaning
- Ensure the individual’s safety and maintain a safe living environment
- Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
- Proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
To comply with House Bill 531 (2025), employment eligibility is determined via the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse Education and Awareness website.

Monday to Friday, 6:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. (no weekends)
