Full Time Caregiver

About the role

At Avenues Home Care, our caregivers are our front line and most common representative. As a Full Time Caregiver, you will be caring for the elderly, vulnerable, disabled and most often those that cannot care for themselves. You are required to keep the client’s needs above all else and perform the following duties with the utmost care. Our office provides caregivers for the local area including Rossville, Woodland Hills, Lakeview, and many others. We take the time to match our clients with the right caregiver through our CareMatch program. This program allows us to assess and understand our clients’ needs so that we can provide the best care possible. Our caregivers are trained in the Avenues Home Care Way to ensure they meet our high standards of service. We take great care in matching the right caregiver to the right client. By using behavioral assessment tools, we gain insight into our caregivers and match that to the needs and desires of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as specified in the client’s plan of care created during intake (bathing, dressing, grooming, other personal hygiene, toileting, transferring, eating, continence care).
• Assist with medication assistance, housekeeping services, laundry, meal preparation, feeding, shopping, transportation to and from appointments, and companionship.
• Perform other household tasks as specified in the client’s plan of care.
• Report daily activity to your supervisor through the agency management system and daily activity logs; use other communication avenues when available (phone, email, agency app, face‑to‑face, etc.).
• Practice safety in all activities concerning clients.
• Lift or push up to 50 pounds as required.
• Demonstrate honesty, accountability, and integrity.
• Provide superior care to clients.
• Remain vigilant of any potential care concerns or changes in condition.
• Maintain personal appearance in compliance with company dress code.
