Responsibilities

  • Prepare food, drinks, and ingredients, including candy, baked goods, and fudge, for sale to customers.
  • Perform Barista, Café, and Fuzziwigs Candy Shop functions, such as deli line, food case, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes, beverages, and prepared foods.
  • Meet deadlines for fudge production and customer requests.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances.
  • Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines.
  • Follow Scheels Cashier Guidelines for Café registers.
  • Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, including machines and equipment, and opening/closing procedures.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean workspace, including dining areas.
  • Perform repetitive fudge production processes, including stirring, pulling, and cutting.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and employees.
  • Read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
  • Work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school education or up to one month of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear (with or without reasonable accommodation).
  • Heavy work – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.

Pay

Compensation for this position starts at $16 per hour.
