Full Time Bus Driver

The Rahway Public Schools is seeking a Bus Driver to support the district's mission of providing high-quality education and services to all students.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses safely and efficiently, adhering to state regulations and school policies.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff during transportation.
• Load and unload students and equipment in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and ensure proper maintenance of vehicles.
• Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Certifications Required

• CDL Class B with P & S endorsements
• Medical Certificate

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid NJ driver’s license

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
• Experience in a similar role preferred

Pay and Schedule

• Hourly rate: $30.00 per hour
• Position duration: 10 months
