Full Time Asst Manager - Rogue Valley Mall

About the Role

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, top-line sales driven, profitable and productive store location. The Assistant Store Manager must also inspire and motivate others by exhibiting core value behaviors—including a customer-focused selling culture—and ensuring the execution of the store's KPIs. Assistant Managers must also hold store employees accountable to following all policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Display a customer-focused mindset at all times and ensure all team members deliver an engaging, positive and authentic customer experience
• Handle customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures, attempt to "solve for yes" and escalate issues as appropriate
• Maintain a clean and well-organized store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment to maximize the customer experience
• Share feedback from customers with the leadership team to improve the overall customer experience
• Perform the floor supervisor role as needed to cover non-peak periods (breaks etc.)
• Deliver an engaging, positive and authentic customer experience with all customers
• Hold self and others responsible for the accomplishment of all operational tasks
• Coach and provide feedback on Sales Associates' performance
• Support associate engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance
• Provide direction to associates to ensure understanding of company directives and standards
• Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet all operational needs
• Support and execute visual directives and maintain visual standards set by the company
• Drive efficiency in all operational store processes
• Maintain merchandise flow, filling and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom
• Maintain a clean and well-organized stockroom and store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment
• Ensure all store associates follow all policies, procedures and all Safety Program practices
• Reflect the PacSun brand by demonstrating passion and affinity for product, brands, fashion and trends
• Inspire and motivate others by consistently exhibiting core value behaviors
• Demonstrate willingness, aptitude, and initiative to learn what is unknown about product, brands, fashion and trends

Qualifications

• Passion for product, brands, fashion and trends
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
• Strong communications skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Proficient in math and possesses strong computer skills

Physical Requirements

• The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
• The associate must frequently sit/stand for long periods of time and climb ladders as needed
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear; the associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach, twist or squat
• Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom and office areas
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting
• Hotel, airplane, and car travel may be required (SM and above roles only)

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Ability to work 32–40 hours a week is required. As a National Retailer, flexibility with work schedule (able to work weekends, nights, peak holiday periods) is required.
