About the role

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Salem, OR and surrounding areas. We are looking for veterinarians who are passionate about providing compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families
• Work flexible 2-5 day-per-week schedules
• Enjoy an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day
• Practice medicine that fills your heart and aligns with your values
• Receive ongoing training, personalized mentorship, and access to a 24/7/365 Support Center

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date

Qualifications

• Experience in hospice and euthanasia care preferred
• Strong communication and empathy skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively

Pay

• 4-day positions starting at $85,000 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $100,000, plus additional bonus opportunities
• 3-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule
