Full Time Assistant Store Manager

About the Role

As the Assistant Store Manager at Pacsun, you will assist the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, sales-driven, and profitable store location. You will inspire and motivate the team by exhibiting core value behaviors, ensuring the execution of the store's KPIs, and holding employees accountable to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Display a customer-focused mindset and ensure all team members deliver an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience.
• Handle customer situations in compliance with policy, aiming to "solve for yes" and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment.
• Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the overall customer experience.
• Perform as the floor supervisor during non-peak periods (e.g., breaks).
• Hold yourself and others accountable for accomplishing operational tasks.
• Coach and provide feedback on Sales Associates' performance.
• Support associate engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
• Provide direction to associates to ensure understanding of company directives and standards.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
• Support and execute visual directives while maintaining visual standards set by the company.
• Drive efficiency in all operational store processes.
• Maintain merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom.
• Ensure all store associates follow policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
• Reflect the PacSun brand by demonstrating passion and affinity for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
• Inspire and motivate others by consistently exhibiting core value behaviors.
• Demonstrate willingness, aptitude, and initiative to learn about product, brands, fashion, and trends.

Requirements

• Passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficient in math and possesses strong computer skills.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Frequently sit/stand for long periods and climb ladders as needed.
• Regularly required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach, twist, or squat.
• Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
• Hotel, airplane, and car travel may be required for Store Manager and above roles.

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring 32-40 hours per week. As a national retailer, flexibility with work schedule (including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods) is required.
