Full-Time Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll assist in creating a team environment that fosters inclusivity and positive connections while supporting the Store Manager in achieving store objectives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to ensure the store achieves company objectives and KPI goals.
• Provide leadership in running an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
• Help recruit, develop, and train top talent who are sales-focused, customer-oriented, and fashion-driven.
• Set the example for The Torrid Connection and ensure the team delivers a shopping experience that encourages positive customer connections and loyalty.
• Support the Store Manager in implementing merchandise strategies while maintaining a clean, consistent, and inviting store environment.
• Maintain effective and open communication with the Store Manager and District Manager.

Requirements

• At least six months of specialty or apparel retail management experience with a proven ability to lead teams and drive sales performance.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to customer experience.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing retail and fashion trends, job duties, and work schedules.
• Fashion-focused with a keen awareness of current trends.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk around during scheduled shifts (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Able to pack and unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures, and handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Able to reach for merchandise using ladders, step stools, merchandise retrieving poles, shoe poles, etc.

Pay

$18.10 - $22.30 per hour.
