Full-Time Assistant Manager

About the role

We’re looking for a Full-Time Assistant Manager to lead our pop culture-driven brand and support our mission of eliminating hunger. The ideal candidate will support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, recruiting, and developing a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales plan and/or comp sales goals
• Recruit, develop, and retain a passionate team
• Create buzz and engage customers through promotions and social media
• Lead operations, balancing autonomy and customer-first practices
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and schedules
• Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategies
• Messure merchandise the store in a compelling way, launching all promos on time

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience
• Passion for philanthropy and pop culture
• Skills in communication, recruiting, operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising)
• Ability to develop team members
• Able to navigate the store, merchandise product, and pack/unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred degree
• Ability to roll with the punches in a fast-changing industry

BoxLunch offers a competitive compensation package including a starting hourly rate of $18.75 - $22.50, subject to individual qualifications, training, and experience.
