About the role
BoxLunch is dedicated to using pop culture to fight hunger by donating meals to Feeding America for each $10 spent. We are seeking a Full-Time Assistant Manager who can lead our mission-driven brand.
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and comp sales goals
- Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative and passionate team
- Create buzz and engage customers through promotions, social media, and additional benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup
- Lead operations, balancing efficiency, autonomy, and customer service
- Monitor shrink, loss prevention, payroll, and schedules
- Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback
- Run sales reports and use data to guide strategies
- Merchandise the store according to planograms and launch promotions on time
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience
- Passion for philanthropy and pop culture
- Leadership skills to motivate and develop teams
- Communication, recruiting, operations, and customer-focused selling abilities
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Average weight lifting capacity of up to 50 pounds
- At least 18 years of age
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
