Full-time Activities Aid

Responsibilities

• Affirmatively assist and encourage residents to participate in social and recreational programs.
• Aid in the planning and execution of the activity program.
• Contribute to the development, planning, and organization of the activity program and various activities.
• Assist in decorating the facility for holidays and themed events.
• Participate in planning weekly and monthly calendars.
• Support residents with activities, both individually and in groups.
• Remind residents of upcoming activities and encourage participation through personal invitations.
• Encourage residents to engage in activities that promote or maintain their quality of life.
• Empower residents to develop and maintain their intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellness by accommodating their preferences and choices.
• Track daily activities and ensure the setup of the physical area as needed for planned activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the great room, activity areas, and activity storage areas.
• Assist with indoor and outdoor plant care.
• Lead group activities such as exercise, bingo, and other planned events.
• Develop new ideas from staff, residents, and other resources.
• Keep daily records of resident activity attendance using trackers for daily, monthly, and quarterly reports.

Requirements

• One year of experience in memory care or healthcare preferred.
