About the role

The Caregiver supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. Encourages resident independence, supports resident choice and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits a positive customer service attitude as demonstrated by being approachable, friendly, and willing to assist others.
• Displays personal initiative to complete work without constant supervision.
• Demonstrates consistent work attendance as scheduled and addresses work related problems with the proper individuals.
• Communicates effectively, listens carefully, is sensitive to others’ thoughts and feelings, gives thoughtful responses, and reports accurately to appropriate parties.
• Maintains confidentiality of both resident and staff information.
• Presents with a neat, clean appearance.
• Participates in designated facility in-services to help new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Prior direct care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Mets age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.
• CBRF Class Certifications - Standard Precautions, First Aid and Choking and Fire Safety - Not sure? Just ask, we can help you find out.
