About The Role Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack WordPress Developer to join our team supporting a major national laboratory. This role requires a versatile developer capable of designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications with a focus on WordPress platforms. The successful candidate will analyze user needs, develop innovative software solutions, and implement automated deployment pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery. You will play a vital role in enhancing existing applications and developing new features to meet evolving business requirements. The position offers flexibility for remote work or telecommuting, with a preference for candidates located near Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role is ideal for an experienced developer who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a strong understanding of modern web development practices, DevOps methodologies, and cloud-based environments. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, 20+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.U.S. Citizenship is required.Proven expertise in Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum.Extensive experience in developing web applications, including both front-end and back-end development.Hands-on experience with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal.Proficiency in developing WordPress themes, plugins, and Gutenberg front-end components.Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages including PHP, C#, C++, and Java.Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.Familiarity with configuration management practices and Git version control strategies.Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and CSS pre-processors like Sass or Less.Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.Knowledge of web architecture patterns such as MVC and multi-tier systems.Experience with databases including SQL, MySQL, or Oracle.Proficiency in scripting languages such as HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Bash, and Python.Strong analytical skills for code assessment and debugging.Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.Understanding of software testing procedures and quality assurance practices.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on technical projects.
