Full-Stack Web Developer

About the role

The Full-Stack Web Developer supports all Asbury properties by managing and maintaining all development-related aspects of the business. This role ensures that all channels are properly leveraged and optimized, protects the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the dealerships, and maximizes the potential of our development resources. This is a full-time, onsite/in-person position.

Responsibilities

• Builds web applications and system integrations to enhance capabilities and serve company needs
• Collaborate with team members to build front-end interfaces for web-based applications
• Design and develop internal applications and outward-facing websites
• Perform continuous maintenance and upgrades of all applications and integrations
• Collaborate with management to test products and implement feature requests
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
• Receive feedback and proactively add features

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of web development and design experience
• Extensive knowledge of building complete user interfaces that communicate with a back-end data layer
• Experience building interfaces using Node.js (React) or PHP preferred
• Experience using GitHub for project management
• Graphic design experience strongly preferred
• Ability to build and maintain large data-driven applications
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and MVR within company policy requirements
• Self-starter with strong time management skills
• Professional conduct under pressure
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment

Skills

Current development stack includes:

• Legacy PHP/HTML/CSS front end with JS/jQuery/AJAX functions communicating with a PHP-based back end
• New projects built using Node.js and related frameworks (Next.js, React, Express, etc.)
• MySQL database infrastructure

• Work performed in an office setting
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers
• Required vision includes close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• Move about facilities and perform other duties as required
