Full Stack Software Engineer – Python, React & AWS

Location: Dallas, Texas | Duration: Contract

About the role

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, document, and implement application systems that are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, problem-solving skills, and adherence to organizational methodologies and standards. The candidate will also respond to production issues and implement immediate resolutions across various technology areas.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, test, document, and implement application systems based on customer requirements.
• Apply software development and testing knowledge to solve a range of problems effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to elevate technology and apply best practices consistently.
• Communicate project statuses and proposals with customers and cross-functional departments.
• Document system or application aspects for future upgrades and maintenance.
• Assess user needs and create software to meet those requirements.
• Identify and resolve issues during design, testing, and maintenance processes.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications and standards.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical capabilities.
• Continue professional development through reading, workshops, conferences, and communities of practice.
• Perform other job duties as directed by leadership.

Requirements

• Intermediate-level experience with broad knowledge in software engineering.
• Intermediate knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, and technologies.
• Intermediate knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with technology and partner teams.
• Ability to analyze and manage large, complex problems and provide viable solutions.
• Capability to handle multiple assignments while maintaining high-quality work.
• Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Experience in front-end and back-end development.
• Preferred: Experience in Microservice and Cloud-based development.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Java, NodeJS, Python, Confluent Kafka, AWS, Lambda, Step Functions, Dynamo DB, EventBridge, and API Gateway.
• Preferred: CCP Next experience.

Skills

• Ability to perform work duties from a limited space workstation/desk/office area for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate and interact in English to meet job demands.
• Proficiency in using a computer and office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy.

Pay

$55 - $60/Hr. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
