About The Role

We are seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to drive the frontend architecture and early development of Harmonic’s products. In this role, you will be the technical owner for Harmonic’s user-facing products, driving the front-end architecture and helping develop the product infrastructure.

  • Own the front-end architecture and product development, coding high-fidelity design prototypes into reusable, scalable frontend user experiences
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineering to design and optimize frontend components to efficiently process and render interactive data streams
  • Partner closely with designers, researchers, engineers, and key stakeholders to translate complex technical capabilities into functional, intuitive, and feature-rich user interactions
  • Leverage AI-native tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development cycles and establish new best practices in product engineering
  • Architect and maintain the technical infrastructure supporting our core platform integrations and public-facing web systems

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on relevant industry experience building production applications at scale
  • Proficiency with TypeScript, React, or similar, and modern web technologies and concepts
  • Experience collaborating with design, product, research, and infrastructure teams to ship user-facing products from concept to launch
  • Proven experience authoring clean, performant code to translate high-fidelity design prototypes into frontend components
  • Experience with integrating frontend components with backend APIs
  • Experience with modern software development practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build and deployment processes, and testing
  • Experience with experimentation and iterative development process
  • Proven work ethic, self-motivation, and a passion for building impactful products
  • Proven track record operating successfully in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience partnering with research teams to translate complex underlying technologies into intuitive, functional web mediums and components
  • Experience with building complex web user applications
  • Demonstrated product sense in partnerships with design, product, research, and infrastructure engineers
  • Experience as a founder or early engineer building a product from scratch from ideation to launch
