About the role

We are looking for a team member who is excited to do everything involved in shipping great products, including hands-on engineering, talking with customers, mastering the climate domain, and setting direction for the company. You will be joining as an early member of the team that will shape everything that comes next at Watershed.

Responsibilities

  • Ship code to production on day one
  • Collaborate with product, design, climate science, and data science to build and iterate on software that helps our customers understand their climate data
  • Build new interactive data visualizations to help climate leads understand their company's emissions
  • Build APIs to unify carbon data access for customers and other engineers
  • Build tools that help financial institutions measure and report emissions across their portfolio companies
  • Build tools for customers to effectively ingest and interpret business data

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering industry experience, preferably in Node.js web development or data pipelines
  • Experience building scalable software starting from user needs
  • Excited to join a startup and ready to help evolve a growing engineering team

Pay

Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Must be willing to work from an office 4 days per week (except for remote roles)

Where we have offices, employees are expected to be in office for 4 days per week. Certain jobs are open to being remote and will be specifically noted on the jobs page and in the job description if so.

Denver Office

Our Denver office is one of Watershed's newest and fastest-growing hubs. Located at 1615 Platte Street in LoHi, it's home to a collaborative team of engineers, product managers, and business partners working together in person.

Interview Process

  • Getting to know the team members through 1 to 2 conversations about Watershed, your experience, and your interests
  • Next steps can vary by role, but usual next steps are a skill or experience interview (e.g. a coding interview for an engineer, a portfolio review for a designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in person interview panel
