About The Role

As a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer embedded with the Dia Enterprise team, you'll build the products that let organizations deploy, govern, and pay for Dia on their own. This is a zero-to-one role with a concrete first mandate and a wide second one. You'll own the Dia Admin Console end-to-end: the web app, entitlement and provisioning APIs, and integrations with Atlassian's Admin Hub and commerce stacks.

You’ll work directly with Atlassian’s platform teams and address enterprise needs within Dia itself, extending your work into the client. While embedded with Enterprise, you are an engineer first. The team ships enterprise features across identity, security, and product, and you’ll turn those capabilities into usable enterprise tooling for admins.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the Dia Admin Console: a hosted web application where enterprise org admins manage entitlements, configure identity and policies, and monitor usage.
• Ensure access checks hold in the backend by improving org and user entitlement modeling, provisioning and deprovisioning APIs driven by Admin Hub events, and enforcement.
• Integrate Dia into Atlassian’s admin surfaces so it behaves as a first-party product in Atlassian org admin consoles.
• Partner directly with Atlassian’s Admin Hub, Identity, and Commerce teams to move projects forward.
• Build enterprise web surface areas, including usage and metering flows, self-serve onboarding, and tools to automate manual processes.
• Partner with client engineers to ship enterprise features inside Dia.
• Set the technical direction for how enterprises administer Dia, making decisions that will impact a growing customer base for years.

Technical Projects You’ll Shape

• First Project: Dia Admin Console. A BCNY-hosted console linked from Atlassian Admin Hub. Includes org and user entitlement modeling, role definitions (Dia User, Dia Admin), policy configuration, and usage reporting. Covers provisioning lifecycle and ensuring Admin Hub is the source of truth for Dia access, including edge cases like token lifetime for disabled users.
• Commerce and metering. Emitting Dia usage into Atlassian’s usage tracking service and surfacing consumption and limits to admins.
• Wider enterprise enablement (open-ended). Beyond initial projects, you’ll shape the roadmap as new governance requirements, integration surfaces, and in-client enterprise features emerge with customer growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production web applications end-to-end, from data modeling to APIs to user interfaces.
• Care deeply about admin and enterprise tools as products. You believe admins deserve the same craft as end users and can distinguish between a console that “works” and one that earns trust.
• Comfort going where the problem is. Most work is web and backend, but Dia is a native Swift and Chromium client, and you’re willing to learn enough to ship enterprise features there when needed.
• Thrive in high-trust, high-ambiguity environments. You seek feedback but solve complex problems and make sound decisions independently.
• Pragmatic, motivated by nebulous problems, and excited by startup environments with quick product validation cycles.

• Primarily hiring in North American time zones with 4+ hours of overlap with Eastern Time Zone.

Compensation and Benefits

Our total compensation for full-time employees includes base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The annual base salary range for this role is $215,000 - $275,000 USD. The final offer depends on experience, expertise, and interview performance.
