Full Stack Product Engineer - Agentic AI

Software development is evolving with the rise of agentic systems that automate much of the software creation process. At Vori, we're advancing beyond traditional software development to create an operating system for grocery retail, powered by AI agents. This shift requires engineers to evolve from feature shippers to orchestrators of AI-driven systems.

What you’ll do

• Design and ship agentic product systems, not just software features.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and customers to identify problems where AI agents can improve workflows.
• Design and implement agent architectures including reasoning, planning, tool use, and feedback loops.
• Build the infrastructure that powers AI systems, including orchestration frameworks, context pipelines, evaluation frameworks, knowledge systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Work across the full stack from backend orchestration and data pipelines to user-facing interfaces that make AI systems understandable and trustworthy.
• Ship fast prototypes, run experiments, and turn promising ideas into production systems used by retailers at scale.
• Continuously integrate emerging AI capabilities and tools to enhance both product intelligence and engineering velocity.
• Improve how Vori builds software by adopting agentic development workflows, including AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, and design.
• Contribute to the evolution of Vori’s agentic development platform, including infrastructure, tooling, and internal standards.

What We’re Looking For

• An engineer who wants to build AI-native products rather than integrating AI into existing systems.
• 3–8+ years of experience building production software systems.
• A strong background in building across the stack, including backend services, data pipelines, and user-facing applications.
• Experience or deep interest in technologies like LLM APIs, agent frameworks, orchestration systems, vector search and retrieval systems, evaluation and feedback pipelines, and event-driven systems.
• The ability to think in systems, not just endpoints, and move quickly from idea to prototype to production.
• A passion for customer outcomes and a maker’s mindset, thriving on prototyping, iterating, and owning features from inception to scale.
