Responsibilities

• Build and maintain mission-critical features using React, Remix, and Node.js to streamline the permitting process for major US cities and states.
• Collaborate directly with government staff and stakeholders to understand complex regulatory requirements and translate them into elegant software solutions.
• Architect scalable infrastructure on AWS and help establish engineering best practices for a rapidly growing product handling significant customer demand.

Requirements

• Has at least 2 years of professional experience building full-stack products with a high level of proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Possesses a product-minded approach, caring deeply about user experience and finding creative, pragmatic ways to ship high-quality software quickly.
• Demonstrates curiosity about AI integration, including experience using AI tools to enhance development velocity and exploring agentic architecture patterns.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Remix.
• Experience with Node.js and AWS.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including government agency staff and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into user-friendly software solutions.
• Passion for using technology to solve real-world problems and improve public services.
