About the role

As the Lead Full Stack Engineer at CoverGo, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our SaaS platform. You will be responsible for guiding the design, development, and maintenance of our cutting-edge insurance enterprise software solutions. Your technical expertise will direct the team in implementing scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients and end-users. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams, you will translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions, maintaining a focus on user experience and operational excellence. This role involves mentoring junior developers, advocating best coding practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will also be instrumental in ensuring the security, compliance, and performance of our platform, keeping it ahead in a competitive market. Your leadership will help drive technical excellence, promote best practices, and support the growth of the engineering team as we expand our platform’s capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of our SaaS insurance platform, providing clear technical guidance to the team
• Make informed decisions on technology selection, architecture, and best practices to ensure scalable and robust solutions
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver seamless user experiences
• Optimize platform performance to handle large datasets and high user traffic efficiently
• Conduct regular code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices within the team
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs promptly to maintain platform reliability and stability
• Implement security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, integrating relevant innovations into the platform
• Design scalable, flexible architecture that accommodates future growth and feature expansion
• Mentor junior developers, fostering their technical growth and aligning team efforts with company goals

Qualifications

• Proven experience of 8+ years as a Full Stack Engineer, with a track record of leading complex SaaS applications
• Minimum 2 years in a lead or managerial role, guiding and mentoring development teams
• Strong proficiency in back-end technologies such as .NET Core, C#, GraphQL, MongoDB, and Docker
• Excellent skills in front-end technologies including JavaScript, Vue.js, and/or React.js
• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for scalable application deployment
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and clean architecture principles
• Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and comprehensive testing methodologies
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to develop maintainable and modular systems
• Strong understanding of web security best practices and compliance standards
• Experience in performance optimization for high-traffic web applications
• Proficiency with container technologies such as Docker and cloud infrastructure solutions
• Experience working within Agile development environments and cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive troubleshooting abilities
• Effective communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest technology trends
