Full Stack Developer II
About the role
This role will help build and scale a comprehensive suite of cloud-based Retail Solutions that power everything from shipping and packing to advanced parcel management services. The position focuses on building strong full-stack engineering fundamentals while applying modern SDLC practices, including cloud-native application deployment and responsible use of AI-enabled development tools, within established architectures and standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy highly scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native applications.
- Own and support automated software builds and releases using modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Actively participate in peer code reviews, applying and sharing constructive feedback to maintain high code quality and architectural standards.
- Proactively troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and follow modern SDLC processes to deliver value incrementally.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience developing enterprise software using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular, with a solid grasp of 12-factor cloud-native architecture.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, and server-side development.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver assigned tasks efficiently within an Agile framework.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Development experience using cloud platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) considered a plus.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience: One (1) year work experience in information technology or engineering environment.

Schedule
This is a hybrid position with a preference for Plano, TX. However, candidates may be considered based elsewhere within the United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories). Candidates residing within 50 miles of a FedEx campus will be required to work on-site at a FedEx location several times per week.
