Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications, including frontend interfaces, backend services, and data APIs.
- Build responsive, production-ready user interfaces that simplify complex data products and workflows.
- Develop scalable middleware and backend services to support business-critical applications.
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable code following software engineering best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs that support internal applications and data services.
- Build backend services using modern frameworks and programming languages.
- Develop secure, scalable solutions that integrate with enterprise data platforms.
- Optimize application performance and reliability across distributed systems.
- Build, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications using AWS services.
- Implement infrastructure as code to provision and maintain cloud resources.
- Support containerized application deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and availability.
- Develop applications that integrate with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Design data services that enable efficient access to business and analytics data.
- Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to support evolving data requirements.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across application environments.
- Partner with product managers, engineering leaders, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable software designs.
- Provide engineering support for production applications during business hours (PST).
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong experience developing production-grade web applications using React.
- Experience building backend and middleware services with Node.js.
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and Python.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, testing methodologies, Git version control, and application lifecycle management.
- Ability to independently own projects from design through deployment while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
