About the role
Guidehouse is seeking a skilled software developer to join our dynamic team. This role requires up to 10% travel and a public trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients, digital leaders, and technical leads to support client engagements and growth initiatives.
- Work as part of the modernization team to address technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions on AWS.
- Provide hands-on full-stack engineering for scalable, secure, distributed systems using modern technologies.
- Collaborate with UX designers, platform engineers, product owners, and business analysts to design, build, test, and deploy software products.
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in full-stack application development.
- Bachelor’s degree required, or at least 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing cloud applications on AWS.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, Django, Vue.js, and modern cloud-native and microservices architectures.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with team members to solve complex technical problems.
- Proven ability to develop and deploy software products using Agile and Scaled Agile practices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Experience with AWS services such as AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge, AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, Elasticsearch, Redis, Memcached, Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skills
- AWS Certified Developer certification.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
- Flask, Docker, Amazon EKS/Kubernetes, AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge, AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, Elasticsearch, caching frameworks, Redis, Memcached, Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for PostgreSQL, and/or MongoDB.
- Design patterns such as Model-View-Controller and AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
- Modern CI/CD pipeline tooling and collaboration with development, operations, and security teams.
- Hands-on cloud software development experience and ability to build and deploy custom applications in the AWS cloud.
