About the role
Full Life Care is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for adults and their caregivers. We provide non-medical care tasks to clients as outlined in their care plans, guiding and assisting Homecare Aides with various client needs.
Responsibilities
- Guide and actively assist Homecare Aides with personal care, bathing, toileting, dressing, transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
- Facilitate and maintain communication between the client, their Homecare Aide, and the Homecare Supervisor when necessary.
- Effectively and promptly communicate client changes to Homecare Supervisors.
- Serve as an on-site problem-solver for both the Homecare Aide and the client.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client concerns and program updates.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as payroll entry, filing, orientations, processing applications, and contacting clients and Homecare Aides as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all homecare training procedures and tools.
- Think critically in the field and seek direction from Homecare Supervisors as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is highly preferred but not required.
- A minimum of one (1) year of professional work experience.
- Completion of all required state-mandated training and certifications.
- Ability to complete tasks and projects as assigned by your supervisor.
- Proficiency (written/verbal) in English language.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Availability to be reached and respond quickly to client emergencies.
- Experience with Hoyer lifts and completion of Nurse Delegation and Nurse Delegation for Diabetes training highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Capability to travel intermittently throughout the day.
- Ability to assist clients with walking, transferring, and bathing.
