Fulfillment Specialist- On Call

About the role

Fulfillment Specialists at Our Daily Bread Ministries are key players in ensuring that ministry resources are delivered accurately and on time. This role involves picking, packing, and shipping orders, conducting quality checks, and adhering to postal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and ship orders using warehouse management systems (WMS), scanning tools, and packaging equipment.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure orders are accurate, complete, and fulfilled on time.
• Pack shipments according to carrier requirements using appropriate materials and methods.
• Use shipping software to process orders, select shipping methods, and generate shipping labels.
• Apply postal regulations and shipping requirements when preparing outgoing mail and parcels.
• Adapt to changing shipping procedures, carrier requirements, and operational processes.
• Consistently meet or exceed established productivity and quality standards (KPIs).
• Communicate with supervisors and management regarding workflow, scheduling, and operational needs.
• Collaborate with internal Our Daily Bread Ministries teams regarding shipment requests and fulfillment support.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while following all quality and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping carriers and processes, including USPS, UPS, and FedEx, preferred.
• Experience using computers for routine tasks such as data entry, label generation, and communication.
• Ability to learn and apply shipping rules, postal regulations, and fulfillment procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to consistently meet performance and productivity expectations.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, lifting, pulling, and twisting.
• Ability to work safely with or around warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Ability to safely handle materials and packages in a fulfillment environment.
