About the Role
The Fulfillment Planner will support the order management process for wholesale customer accounts, ensuring timely fulfillment and delivery to meet revenue targets and fill rate objectives. This collaborative role works closely with cross-functional partners to maintain high service levels and transparency in communication.
Responsibilities
- Process EDI and manual orders, perform detailed sales order reviews, and communicate confirmations, recaps, and order impacts to stakeholders.
- Allocate inventory to customer orders for release to the distribution center (DC) for downstream operations (pick, pack, ship).
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Wholesale Customers to ensure high service and transparent communication.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of EDI transactions (860, 855, 856) in compliance with customer requirements.
- Coordinate with DC and transportation partners to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the DC and internal teams to resolve order-related inquiries.
- Support resolution of customer claims, shortages, chargebacks, and returns, identifying trends and escalating as needed.
- Proactively troubleshoot fulfillment constraints and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align product allocations, inventory flow, and revenue targets.
- Maintain weekly sales reporting data on a shared database.
- Prepare and distribute recurring reports on sales performance, backorders, and chargebacks.
- Provide input on process improvements to enhance service levels and efficiency.
Key Working Relationships
Inventory Management, Account Managers, Planners, Production, Transportation, and Distribution Center.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Background in wholesale customer service, fulfillment, or operations, preferably in Beauty, Apparel, or related consumer goods industries.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
