About the Role
The Warehouse Outbound Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the outbound department within our 150,000 square foot, state-of-the-art fulfillment center. This role ensures customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment in a timely and efficient manner. The Outbound Supervisor leads a team of warehouse associates, enforces safety standards, and drives productivity to meet performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the pick, pack, and shipping teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and conduct training to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and quality control standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse leadership and other departments (receiving, inventory, etc.) to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment in the picking area.
- Monitor and report on productivity, error rates, and order accuracy; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency.
- Schedule labor and manage timekeeping for team members to ensure adequate staffing during shifts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or order issues related to picking.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented culture and support employee engagement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant coursework in supply chain or logistics is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning equipment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities; proficiency in English (verbal and written).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
- Manual dexterity to operate warehouse equipment and tools.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is helpful.
- Forklift certification preferred.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, with occasional overtime and weekends as needed.

Pay
The hourly range for this role is based on qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Encompass is a pay-for-performance company, and some roles offer a production bonus in addition to base pay.
