About the role
The Fulfillment Center Team Manager partners with other managers to accomplish three goals: delight customers with outstanding service that exceeds their expectations, drive cost out of the organization by creating efficient processes and executing plans, and honor associates by ensuring their experience improves continuously.
In this role, you will manage and motivate hourly associates to achieve performance goals, productivity, accuracy, and quality control standards. You will lead your team in daily, weekly, and monthly planning for your departments and collaborate with the Fulfillment Center Operations Manager to operate within all guidelines. Safety is a priority, and you will ensure safe work practices while fostering a safety culture. As a leader, you will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate hourly associates to meet performance goals, productivity, accuracy, and quality control standards
- Lead team planning for daily, weekly, and monthly departmental operations
- Collaborate with the Fulfillment Center Operations Manager to ensure adherence to operational guidelines
- Ensure safe work practices and foster a safety culture in the warehouse
- Analyze and recommend improvements to established departmental processes and procedures
- Foster communication and teamwork among staff at all levels to ensure successful customer outcomes
- Utilize fulfillment/distribution technology (e.g., WMS, hardware, and software components)
- Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Advocate for inclusive solutions that benefit both customers and employees
- Lead by example with a growth mindset as a customer advocate and contributor
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a comparable role
- Basic English language skills (verbal and written)
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry product up to 70 pounds by hand

Pay
Competitive pay: $74,000–$104,300 annually
