Provides technical and customer support for fueling facilities, including preventative maintenance, service, inspections, repairs, projects, and environmental compliance across transportation, retail, commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural industries. Interacts with stakeholders such as Authorized Service Contractors, Environmental Engineers, internal teams, manufacturers, and facility/corporate customer personnel. Takes ownership of complex assignments and leads by example in Ryder Fuel Service operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and troubleshoot fueling systems (UST/AST alarm monitoring, Automatic Tank Gage (ATG), interstitial, probes, sensors, spill buckets, sumps, Turbine Transfer Pumps (STP), Under Dispenser Containment (UDC), DEF systems, dispensers, piping, tank cleaning, filters) to develop custom solutions for customers, including full repair or replacement.
- Ensure work order timelines and priorities are met using a work order management system to prioritize and analyze customer service needs.
- Provide clear, effective, and consistent communications/updates to customers, databases, and other stakeholders.
- Establish processes and tools to proactively prevent Notices of Violation; support customer service needs related to Notices of Violation and ensure facility compliance schedules are met.
- Identify and resolve potential compliance issues proactively; escalate for legal compliance assistance when necessary.
- Obtain, review, and approve repair quotes; support construction/capital projects under the guidance of an environmental project engineer.
- Run ad-hoc reports and build basic reports using information from multiple systems and databases.
- Monitor and report on individual KPIs.
- Develop, support, and implement policies, SOPs, procedures, BMPs, and other documents for internal and/or external stakeholders as assigned.
- Work weekends, stay late, or adjust work schedules as necessary to meet business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of fuel system and/or facility maintenance management and/or environmental compliance industry experience.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in direct responsibility for customer relationship-building.
- In-depth understanding of how to use language/communications to create and maintain positive customer experiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office environment, including advanced Excel pivot tables.
- Advanced knowledge of fueling systems (UST/AST alarm monitoring, ATG, interstitial, probes, sensors, spill buckets, sumps, STP, UDC, DEF systems, dispensers, piping) and downstream fueling systems.
- Obtain, maintain, or pursue 2 to 3 relevant certifications (e.g., compliance-related, ICC, AB Operator, Gasboy, INCON, FFP, Six Sigma, Project Management).
- Travel: 1-10%.

Pay
Salaried position with a pay range of $75,000.00.
Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on role level/type.
