Fuel Technician

Role Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Document
  • Must be available to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Must have dependable transportation
  • Must be able to travel daily between all Family Express locations or other non-Family Express locations when necessary
  • Completion or ability to complete the ICC U1 Installation and retrofitting certification

Position Responsibilities

  • Builds Relationships
  • Serves as Product Brand Advocate
  • Adheres to company approved accounting procedures
  • Performs inspection and testing of fuel storage tank, fuel dispensers, tank monitoring systems, submersible pumps, and associated underground storage tank equipment
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs all fuel equipment
  • Affixes to train store staff to perform routine dispenser repairs using established procedures
  • Affixes to assist in the review all work orders and contractor/service provider invoices for accuracy and reasonableness on a timely basis
  • Manages relationships with contractors and service providers
  • Conducts all work in a safe manner adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state, and federal safe work policies/procedures
  • Runs Service calls to multiple store locations using company owned vehicle
  • Affixes to participate in a preventative maintenance program that will include documentation and repair of equipment on a scheduled program
  • Promotes Company’s mission statement
  • Fosters Company’s Culture
  • Responsible for supporting Facilities Technicians and resolving other facilities support issues
  • Other duties assigned

Physical Demands And Work Environment

  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for prolong periods; work longer than eight (8) hour shifts, reach climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear; smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Work Environment: Must have flexibility to work all shifts, all days of the week, when necessary. Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures for a minimum of 30-minute intervals. Exposure to dirt, dust, and cleaning solvents.
