Fuel Process & Development Engineering Section Mgr

Position Overview

Manage fuel process engineering section and ensure the process engineering services are performed in a cost-effective manner and that priorities are established in accordance with regulatory and customer contract requirements.

Location

On-site in Erwin, Tennessee

Your Day to Day

- Direct the work of process engineers assigned to this section to accomplish the objectives of the annual operating plan. - Provide recommendations and justification for the sub-department capital budget. - Provide process parameters and material balance flow sheets for capital projects in this area of responsibility. - Review and recommend approval of proposals for process and equipment improvements prepared by subordinates. - Review and evaluate the technical requirements of customer inquiries and recommend modifications in keeping with NFs capabilities and policies. - Review and approve procedures prepared by subordinates and ensure all regulatory and customer contract requirements are met.

Required Qualifications

B. S. -- Engineering required M. S. or M. B. A. preferred DOE Q Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain a Q Clearance is required. Over fifteen years' engineering experience; preferably in support of DOE Category 1 or 2 nuclear facility support.
