Responsibilities
- Accurately receive and process payment for purchases using various methods including cash, credit/debit cards, coupons, or other approved options.
- Accurately issue customer receipts and provide change.
- Process all payment types, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Balance cash drawers and deposit funds daily.
- Operate electronic cash registers and adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and professionalism in the Fuel Center area, especially during inclement weather.
- Complete pricing changes within designated deadlines.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and escalate if necessary.
- Follow Cosentino Customer Service Standards and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Answer customer questions about items sold in the Fuel Center.
- Assist in inventory management as needed.
- Stock items in the Fuel Center, both indoors and outdoors.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards to achieve desired team and individual goals.
- Communicate effectively and interact positively with customers and colleagues.
- Perform basic arithmetic and reading skills necessary for the role.
- Comply with relevant government regulations regarding weights and measures, lottery/lotto, and tobacco sales.
- Generate daily fuel usage reports accurately and promptly.
- Maintain optimal stock levels for lottery scratchers, lotto items, candy, and tobacco products.
- Suggest additional products or services to promote sales.
- If assigned, assist in training new team members.
- Support the company by performing additional tasks as directed, assisting other stores or departments, and acquiring new skills.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of ongoing training and development as outlined in the Cosentino Learning Plan.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and occasionally up to 52 lbs.
- Physical capabilities to reach overhead, twist at the waist, bend, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment safely and competently.
