FTS Manager I (61032705) **RE-ADVERTISEMENT**

Job Responsibilities

• Performs specialized technical work statewide on SCDOT owned Intelligent Transportation Systems Infrastructure.
• Configures, tests, installs and maintains new ITS network equipment to include cameras, switches and modems.
• Maintain CCTV and DMS systems to include repair and replacement to ensure 95% continuous operation statewide.
• Plan, schedule and inspect work performed by contractual personnel.
• Oversees troubleshooting and repair of the ITS communications networks to include fiber optic cable, copper and related components.
• Configure, test, install, set up and maintain portable camera trailers and permanent and portable message boards.
• Inspects the installation of ITS elements, database data entry, collection and CADD file update.
• Affords assistance to Headquarters and District personnel in maintaining local ITS systems during ordinary and extraordinary events as required.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• An associate degree in electronics and two (2) years of related experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
• A valid motor operator's license is required.

Physical Demands

• Involves sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods of time.
• May require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, and kneeling.
• Walking for extended periods, treading rough terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and in natural environmental hazards.
• May be required to work outside normal business hours or respond to emergency situations.
