Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving meals to residents, family members, and guests.
• Uphold table etiquette and assist with residents' meal and menu selections.
• Ensure a clean and sanitized dining area, including setting up and resetting tables.
• Track resident meal attendance and communicate with team members about absent residents.
• Break down deliveries, put away stock, wash dishes, and assist with community marketing efforts.
• Report any safety or equipment issues to the Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards and policies.
• Operate standard serving equipment and assist with other kitchen and dining services.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed by Lead, Supervisor, Director of Dining Services, or designee.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), highly preferred.
• Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn.
• Must be 18 years or older or have a proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Complete required Background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
• Basic counting skills as required by the position.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English.
• Able to operate standard serving equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, guests, vendors, and the public.
• Meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements, such as Food Handler Certification.

Qualifications

• Must not be an “Excluded Party” as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, any state Medicaid Programs, and any additional federal and state government contract programs.
• Continually comply with certain laws and regulations that impact the company, including, but not limited to, state licensing regulations, HIPAA, Resident Rights, and any other federal or state laws relating to professional licenses.
