FT Sanitation Associate

About the Role

ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to one of the largest grocery retail supply chains in the nation. The team supports the supply chain network evolution to an integrated self-distribution model, serving leading omnichannel grocery brands including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop.

As a Sanitation Associate, you will maintain all sanitation standards established by the Distribution Center to ensure a clean and safe work environment for all associates.

Responsibilities

• Pick up debris, empty trash cans, and remove spills promptly.
• Dust racks, doors, lights, and other surfaces.
• Sweep and mop slots, scrub floors, and clean outside areas to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Clean sanitation equipment, including sanitation boxes and mops.
• Maintain equipment daily by topping off fluids, cleaning brushes, and washing equipment.
• Follow good sanitation practices and keep the work area clean and free of debris.
• Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance.
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes to maximize efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards for accuracy, safety, and productivity.

Requirements

• Able to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs. of equipment.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (e.g., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
• Able to work the required schedule to perform assigned duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school education.
• Certification on powered industrial equipment (training provided).
• Familiarity or experience in a distribution environment.

Skills

• Able to meet production standards set by the company.
• Able to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
